My neighbor of 25 years....
....has purchased an assisted living condo and will be leaving her home in two weeks. She has been a wonderful neighbor, never married, has a masters from Stanford, keeps her place immaculate, we will be sorry to see her go. Her health has deteriorated badly in the last year, she took a terrible fall a few months ago, and gives all appearances of deciding her time is very near. She has spent the four months getting her affairs in order, a very deliberate lady.
She has chaired an informal investment group for many years, sits on the board of Pacific Fish, the board of her Lutheran Church, and comes from a founding fishing family here in Seattle. She has been doing the taxes for many of her friends, visits a number of shut-ins and infirmed, and is a very kind and caring lady.
I am sad to see her leave her home, sad to see her health leave so quickly, and sad to lose a good friend.......such is life.

Sometimes you make me laugh..........
.......well, maybe not laugh but at least chuckle. Sometimes I guess not really chuckle, but at least grin. Well, not really grin but more of a slight smile. At least it approaches a smile, or maybe not quite a frown. On second thought, just never mind..........
